    The Journey

    Day 1)Olbia-Alghero - 227km

Today can only start crossing the Costa Smeralda, destination of the international jet set, where a panoramic road overlooking the crystalline sea, yatch and dream villas set in the nature will make you daydream. You will pass through the tourist areas of Palau and Santa Teresa, where at the foot of the Capo Testa lighthouse you can refresh your spirit while enjoying a good coffee, admiring the Bocche di Bonifacio and the white cliffs of Corsica. Then continue towards Castelsardo, keeping the sea on your right in the coast that runs through the northern part of Sardinia: the mediterranean vegetation and the scent of myrtle berries will be your traveling companion. Once you arrive in Castelsardo, an ancient village perched high above the sea, we recommend a visit to the castle and a lunch at the restaurant "L'incantu" accompanied by the splendid view that characterizes it. After an excellent lunch of fish, head towards Alghero, crossing the whole province of Sassari. Once arrived allow yourself a little healthy relaxation sipping a breathtaking aperitif at the Riservato Beach Bar. Day 3)Alghero-Gavoi - 194km

This morning head south towards Bosa along the coast road Alghero-Bosa, a renowned fishing village, famous for its canal port and for the medieval castle. To get there, you will follow a coastal road that is a candidate to become Unesco heritage due to its curves overlooking the sea and its breathtaking views. In fact, 53 km of curves that border the sea of the coast that joins the Nurra to Logudoro will be waiting for you, as well as for the quality of the route, guided also by its perfumes and colors. You will touch with your hand how on this island a few kilometers are enough to find yourself in a completely different place, starting from the color of the earth to that of the sea. From Bosa begins your journey to the center of Sardinia in the direction of Aritzo, a small town built on top of the mountains in the center of Sardinia and surrounded by ancient woods that will make you forget you are on an island in the heart of the Mediterranean sea. For lunch we recommend the "Aritzo restaurant". In the afternoon, head north towards Gavoi, where the mountains of the Supramonte with its hundreds of high altitude bends will make you live an unforgettable experience. Once you reach your destination, treat yourself to a well deserved rest while staying at Hotel Taloro where we recommend a typical Sardinian dinner.

Once you reach Villasimius, take the beautiful coastal road that leads to Cagliari, the capital of the island. For lunch we recommend "Il Frontemare", a fish restaurant at Poetto, the great city beach. In the afternoon you can visit the elegant city, taking a walk in the historic center and climbing the castle with its belvedere overlooking the gulf.

    Day 4)Cagliari-Portu Maga - 260km

Head towards South West towards Pula. Along the way do not miss the Baia Chia beach, one of the most beautiful in Sardinia! Continue to the island of Carloforte, a former genovese colony where, even today, the ligurian traditions including the genoese dialect and the tuna fishing are very much alive. Here you can visit the small urban center with its promenade and go around the island, enjoying fabulous sea views. Once back on land, continue in the direction of Masua through the entire province of Sulcis-Iglesiente, a mining area rich in abandoned quarries, currently among the poorest of the island. Once in Masua, along the coast you will be amazed to see a huge sea stack in the middle of the sea, it is the "Pan di Zucchero", name due to the very clear color of the rock of which it is composed. We recommend a guided tour of Porto Flavia, a mine overlooking the sea that will leave you speechless. After a quick lunch, reach Portu Maga for the night. But the surprises of the day are not over yet because you are within walking distance of Piscinas, the largest natural desert in Europe. In the afternoon you will experience one of the highlights of your trip by driving along the coast that will lead you to Alghero, the capital of Riviera del corallo. Head towards the promontory of Capocaccia from which you can visit the beautiful belvedere overlooking the island "Foradada" to the west, and the bay of Porto Conte to the east. From here you can also enjoy the suggestive skyline of the fortified city of Alghero. Continue north towards Stintino where you can visit the beach "La pelosa", considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world for its crystal clear water and its fine sand.
